Meet The Pastor

My name is Charles Holland, Sr. and I’m just a country boy that was born and raised in Sampson County North Carolina. I am retired from the North Carolina Dept. of Public Safety. I’m also a life time firefighter with Clement Volunteer Fire Dept. I’m also a Past Master Mason of Mingo Masonic Lodge and a Sudan Shriner.

I have been a member of Mingo Baptist Church in Dunn, NC since 1989. The beginning of the Lord calling me to missions was in 2014 when I volunteered as a Staff Member at the youth camp (Camp Champ) at Minneapolis Baptist Church in Minneapolis North Carolina, up until Covid-19 started. I have also been a Sunday School teacher for several years as well as a Deacon for Mingo Baptist Church, and have held several other positions within Mingo Baptist Church. In 2019, I had the privilege to go to Honduras on a mission trip, which set my heart on fire to do more mission works in the years to follow. In June of 2021, I was called to be a minister by God to preach. For the next 3½ years I served as a supply pastor for many churches, up until the Lord called me as the Pastor of Concord Baptist Church.

My wife Cindy grew up in Willard, NC. We have been married for 40 yrs. God has blessed us with a son, daughter, daughter-in law, and now a grandson.

It is our desire as servants of God to share His love and word to everyone that we come in contact with, where they can know God’s love and have eternal life with our Heavenly Father. It’s also our desire to help our Brother’s and Sister’s in Christ to grow in their personal relationship with our Lord and Savior and to help our Church grow in its mission to serve our community and to lead others to Christ. Another desire that we have is to do mission work locally and abroad to show God’s love to the ones that are less fortunate. If you don’t have a Church to attend I welcome you to visit us and hear the message of God and His son Jesus Christ.
